One of our favourite places to go is ‘Heino’. We love it when we are invited by our friend Wicher. It’s a gorgeous little farm on a private lake, with no internet, no tv, just the fireplace for inhouse entertainment!
Outside, there’s nature, and an overload of green for us city people. It is synonym for relaxation. Add to the equation that Wicher is the perfect host who loves to spend time in the kitchen and Heino Heaven is complete.

My mate Rob plays in a really cool band: Eurocinema: “Jazz isn’t dead, it just smells funky.” That’s the motto of Dutch soul jazz/funk group Euro Cinema. The group’s raw jazz funk sound is rooted in late 60s organ funk as well as the anonymous “library music” soundtracks to 70s movies. Hence the name! Euro Cinema consists Tim den Heijer (guitar), Niels Piay (drums), Dennis Orsel (bass) and Rob Schepens (Hammond organ).
We were proud to be present at the release of their Album ‘Ten-4′ in Paradiso. The lights were great, the guys funked the place and I took some pictures!
Photographing children is brilliant, they are cute, funny, spontanious and you make the parents happy with good photographs!
There’s quite a few examples of our niece and nephew on this site. Both are gorgeous, with huge eyes, perfect models…
Soon I’ll be shooting another newborn, which is a present from a friend to his friends, looking forward to it.
Our wonderful friends Floris and Ingy (aka Flowing) moved to Berlin a couple of years ago. We miss them, but love the fact that we can go and stay with them in lovely Berlin.

A few weeks back I was asked to help out a interior stylist studying at Artemis College. His assignment was to design a booklet for the famous Artifort Orange Slice chair, designed by Pierre Paulin in 1960.
Ralf would do the styling, I would do the lighting and photographing.
He arrived at my house with loads of accessories, and of course The Chair. We spend a whole day completely rearranging all the furniture in the living room and ended up with a nice selection of photos.
Together with a graphic designer, Ralf made a gorgeous booklet, he can be proud!
We live in Ijburg, a new area just outside of the ringroad of Amsterdam.
Ijburg is considered ‘boring’ by some people. I try and find the beauty in all things, and have discovered many wonderful places on these special islands that I can now call, very happily: home.
In an attempt to illustrate this to other people, I even created a dedicated project: Ijburgcorners
