Marc & Debby

25 August was a special day: Marc and Debby were getting married in their own gorgeous backyard!
A very intimate wedding with only their close family and best friends. I was honoured when Marc asked me if I would like to take photos of the whole day. I said ‘yes’ on one condition: That I could do it together with Desiree! Marc and Debby thought it was a great idea, so on the day we rented an extra camerabody and some very nice lenses!
It turned out to be a wonderful, sunny and emotional day, which ended with a rocking party with a live band.
Pauline from WITenzo was a great wedding planner, Deb a chilled out and beautiful bride and Desiree the best teammate you could wish for. Thanks all for the lovely memories!

Wh00t! what a party it was in AIR last night!
After a great laugh at the pre-party shoot in hotel Eden, we took the whole studioset down and walked to club AIR, where we built it up again in the entrance hall.
People really made an effort to dress up and we took some awesome pictures!

A first selection of the photos is available on oypo.nl/lelle

It was a free shoot, so excited to see that I’ve already sold a few photos via OYPO!

Jelle thought of a great gift for his friends’ newborn girl: a photoshoot. By me. :)
Little Zoe is now 4 months old and a very happy baby (until her bottle is empty, then there’s a brief moment of mad Zoe!)
We took two hours, inside and outside on the beautiful Brouwersgracht. The weather was gorgeous, the ‘models’ relaxed and happy, which all contributed to a great result!
Thanks to her parents for letting me use some of the shots on my website.

an untitled thank you

No story here, just a big thank you to Marleen for her support, patience and being a beautiful woman!

feisty freya

A few months ago, my friend Marleen asked me if I would be interested in a shoot with the sister of her friend. ‘Only if we do it together!’ was my response… Marleen’s experience as a professional model, photography background, her sense of style and the fun we had on a prior shoot with two sisters, gave me full confidence that we could make something cool together. Model Freya and her sister came to my house, which we transformed into a professional studio: makeup, clothes, shoes, cabelling and lights everywhere! We talked about what we had in mind, and Marleen started working on the first style: fresh, innocent and natural. Hours later we finished the last look: smokey eyes, pulled back hair, a cigarette and a glass of bubbles! An exciting day, with some nice results!

together toeval

Ga je mee?

After a lovely evening at Pluk de Nacht filmfestival I noticed this sign at Centraal Station, with in the lower left corner : “Ga mee” (Come with me).

Outside at the tramstop there was a big sign : “Meeting Point”, a sign “2″, with in the background “Lovers” and when the tram came : “Laatste Rit” (Last ride).

All these signs were apt, I was waiting to meet my love to go home together :)

wonderful weddings

Back of Bride

In the last four years I’ve had the privilege to be a photographer at three weddings. Some photographers look down on wedding photography, but I thoroughly enjoyed being part of and being able to record my view of the weddings I’ve attended. It is nerve-wracking, the pressure to perform is huge, but the reward, a happy couple, is great.
It helps if you know the couple and their family and friends, it makes it easier to help people relax…(and vice versa)

This year I’ll be doing two more, one in August en one in September.
Looking forward to it!

bouwhuysch boys

NAP

bouwhuysch is a recruitment company owned by three guys I know. Their friend Ken built a sleek website and used quite a few pictures taken by me.

If that isn’t cool enough, some of the prints from my Ijburgcorners exhibition are on show at their offices in Ijburg.

Great fun working with them and very happy with the result!

portrait performance

20110630-Capture0082-2

Last week we organized the first of a three part photo-shoot for all my colleagues. We offer them the opportunity to have their photo taken in a ‘smoelenboek’ style (like a professional portrait for their CV or on our intranet) and a more ‘fun’ portrait. 4 hours of setting up the lighting, 10 mins per person with one lunchbreak and 40 people later I was exhausted!

But happy, because people enjoyed the experience, the men liked the attention they got from 4 women, and most of them liked the results! Most important, I really enjoyed doing it.

Now the next challenge starts, sorting through the 1300 photos, picking the best ones and making them black and white and editing until I am proud of the result…

Brilliant experience, but I did underestimate the amount of time that would be involved…

Soon more results!
